3 Easy DIY Face Masks Recipes To Do At Home.

Whenever I’m feeling stressed, tired or even hungover I go over to my skincare fridge and pull out a cold and refreshing face mask. I’d like to think they can fix anything. I don’t even have a preference, I just throw one on. I love sheet masks, peel off masks and even the masks you just rub into your face and don’t take off. During these times we are all looking for a fun activity, so I thought I would find some DIY face mask remedies to help us create time to take care of ourselves and relax.

A Hydration Face Mask

If you’ve had a late night, drank too much or are experiencing skin problems because of this cold weather, this face mask is perfect for you. This recipe requires ½ of an avocado, one tablespoon of honey and a handful of oats. Mix all these ingredients together, apply them on your face and then leave it on for about 15 minutes and your face will start to feel new again. I have actually seen a lot of models and skincare blogs post about this recipe. Did you know that  Aveeno uses oats in some of their products? Oats are an important ingredient  that helps moisturize.

A Face Mask for Dealing with Breakouts

I have yet to find a good face mask for when I am experiencing a bad breakout. I usually use a charcoal mask or apply some zit drying lotion. When I stumbled upon this recipe I thought it would be a good one to include since I haven’t tried this remedy before. This recipe calls for one tablespoon of manuka honey, one teaspoon of turmeric powder and ½ teaspoon of dead sea salt. The turmeric is supposed to decrease the redness of the zit, while the honey is good at attacking the bacteria in the zit. All together, these are some pretty powerful ingredients. I can’t wait to try this one.

A Face Mask for Tired Looking Skin

Have you ever woken up with very tired looking skin that no amount of makeup could fix? Well, this face mask recipe is here to help you. This recipe calls for the juice of one lemon, two tablespoons of sugar and one tablespoon of olive oil. The sugar and lemon combined work to get rid of any dead skin left behind that is making you appear to look dull and tired. The olive oil works to hydrate the skin, giving an overall fresher looking appearance.

Each of these DIY face masks involve simple ingredients that are easy to find and store in your house. It also is a great activity that allows you to create some special time for yourself.
